Scenes From Monday's Adventures At Lifeline

There were many major repairs that needed to take place at the mission house; and God provided the team to do it.  The guys were amazing and a huge blessing to the mission.  There were plumbing jobs, electrical jobs, working on the block maker, installing a new large generator, a new water pump and many other jobs.  In this picture, Pete and Tom are in the office looking over information for the block maker trying to figure a few things out.

Jim Teela was part of the crew that worked on repairing a sewer line.  They had to keep battling against an army of wasps!

Dave Jonckheere getting acquainted with Donald Curtis, President and CEO of Children's Lifeline.

Dave Jonckheere taught a beginners English class.  The curriculum was wonderful!  In this class, many of the students knew no English.  Abbey Russell was Dave's assisant for the week and thoroughly enjoyed learning how to teach others English.  No interpretors were used.  It was amazing to watch Dave teach phrases by having the students perform the phrase as they spoke the words.  A few examples were: stand up, sit down, walk slow, walk quickly, point at the book, point at the blue book, etc.  There was a lot of laughter too.

Cindy Jonckheere taught an intermediate English class.  Patti Lurvey and Sara Russell were her assistants.  This class absolutely loved the curriculum.  They kept sharing that they had never learned this much before in an English class.  When it was time to end the class each day, they didn't want to.  They were very appreciative.

Robinson is Lifeline's main interpretor.  This is his wife and their new baby boy.  Some of the team went with our hosts, Adrian, Candice and Michelle, to deliver a cake and meet the baby.

Sunset views from the hilltop at Lifeline.  A day full of blessings.
